Botswana has been facing an unexplainable phenomenon where Elephants are dying in their numbers without cause or reason. Jacobs Transport is working hand in hand with veterinary experts in a project to translocate elephants to a saver location out of harm’s way. The project is translocating 20 bull elephants to a venue that is bigger and much more wide open with more food.
The translocation project has been well informed by thorough research to both protect communities and ensure that the translocated elephants are protected, monitored, and managed. They are monitored to ensure that they are safe, healthy, and protected every step (or kilometre) of the way.
Protecting and preserving our wildlife species is of utmost important to every individual involved.
